Adipurush, the upcoming epic film directed by Om Raut and starring Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, has released a new trailer. The film is based on the famous Indian epic Ramayana. The first teaser of Adipurush was released last year, but it received criticism for the poor quality of its visual effects. Consequently, the film’s release was postponed to refine the visual effects.
The new trailer is a marked improvement from the earlier one, with refined visual effects that meet the expectations of big-budget Indian films. However, the final battle sequence in the new trailer is still lacking refinement, similar to the teaser.

The new trailer begins with Hanuman’s narration, outlining the well-known storyline – Raghav’s exile, Sita’s abduction, and the construction of the bridge to Lanka. The second half of the trailer features speeches and battles as Raghav rallies his army. Unlike the teaser, the new trailer does not reveal much about Lankesh, who appears only once in disguise and briefly at the end.
The trailer was launched at a special screening in Hyderabad attended by the film’s team, including Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Om Raut, amid fanfare and chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” After the screening, Prabhas addressed the fans, expressing hope that they would like the trailer.
Adipurush also features Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage and is set to release on June 16 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The music is composed by Ajay-Atul, famous for their work in Sairat. The film will also premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 13.
