Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his 58th birthday today.

Shah Rukh Khan was the first Indian actor to be featured on the cover page of the Los Angeles Times Calendar section.

Shah Rukh Khan holds the record for the longest-running movie in Indian Cinema, and you could say in World Cinema, as  "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" still plays at the Maratha Mandir theatre in Mumbai.

On November 10, 2011,  Shah Rukh Khan became the first Indian to win a special UNESCO award,  the Pyramide con Marni award, for his charitable acts.

Shah Rukh Khan is the only actor in Bollywood to have received three foreign doctorates from  three universities.

Not many know that Shah Rukh Khan's first name was Abdul Rehman, a name given by his grandmother. However, his father later changed it to Shah Rukh, which means ‘face of king’.

Shah Rukh Khan owns property on the Moon. One of his die-hard fans from Australia buys him a piece of land on the Moon from the Lunar Republic Society every time on his birthday.‌

Shahrukh Khan, considered to be Bollywood's biggest star, has a  wax statue at the Paris Grévin Museum.

In 2018, the World Economic Forum honored him with the annual Crystal Award for his stewardship in encouraging the rights of women and children in India.
