Renuka Shahane has done her BA in psychology from St Xavier’s college Mumbai & Post Graduation in clinical Psychology from the Mumbai University.

She began her career with Marathi films and gained fame as the host of "Surabhi," a popular TV show from 1993 to 2001.

She has won the Filmfare Award in the Best actress category for the Marathi movie ‘Aboli’.

She became well-known after her role in the 1994 hit film "Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!"

Renuka Shahane directed her first Marathi film, "Rita," based on her mother's novel, and played a pivotal role in it.

Her versatile talents have made her respected in both Marathi and Hindi entertainment industries.

She also appeared in the Telugu movie "Money," produced by Ram Gopal Varma, which was successful.

Renuka Shahane was initially married to Marathi theatre director Vijay Kenkare but divorced. She later married Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana, and they have two sons.
