Actress Sonakshi Sinha is celebrating her 36th birthday amidst an outpouring of warm wishes from her fans, friends, and family members on social media. Adding to her joy, Sonakshi’s recent role in Reema Kagti’s series “Dahaad” has received immense praise and become a hit among audiences. Portraying the character of a no-nonsense cop, Sonakshi’s powerful performance has left a lasting impression on viewers. In an interview, an excited Sonakshi expressed her delight, revealing that she has been receiving messages from people she hasn’t heard from in years.
“I do feel like I have made my debut all over again,” reflecting on the overwhelming response to her role in “Dahaad.” The series also starred Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah. She further explained, “It’s been incredible, so overwhelming. People who have not spoken to me in years are messaging me, and individuals from outside the industry have reached out as well. I was at a restaurant, and random people approached me, not just for a photograph, but simply to express their admiration for my performance in ‘Dahaad.’ I’m still figuring out how to deal with all of this.”

Sonakshi also mentioned that it has been a while since she received such high praise, comparable to the appreciation she received for her roles in “Lootera” (2013), “Akira,” and “Kalank.” Emphasizing this newfound recognition, she shared, “I do feel like I have made my debut all over again. The last time I was appreciated like this was a long time ago. But I’m grateful that people like Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar have acknowledged my abilities and given me characters that truly justify my talent. I hope more people do the same in the future.”

Recently, in an interview, Reema Kagti mentioned that she always felt Sonakshi was underutilized. When asked about her agreement with Reema’s statement, Sonakshi responded, “Sometimes, but not all the time. I always give my 100 percent and do my best, regardless of the role I receive, whether it’s good or bad.” I am glad that people like Reema and Zoya Akhtar have recognized that and provided me with characters that allow me to showcase my abilities.
