Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, known for his resilience in the face of career challenges, recently spoke about the unwavering support he received from Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan during difficult times. In an interview, Mithun recalled how Salman, whom he described as “lion-hearted,” and Salim Ji stood by him when he was not yet a superstar.
Mithun shared that he first came to know Salman when he was still Salim Khan’s son and Salim Ji had tried to cast him in films multiple times. He expressed deep respect for Salim Ji and acknowledged that he could never raise his head in front of him. Mithun also revealed that Salman treats him like an elder brother, and they share a close bond, often confiding in each other and having fun together. He added that while Salman may sometimes come across as smart, he doesn’t know what could happen if Mithun were to open his mouth, hinting at the depth of their friendship.
Mithun has previously spoken about facing insecurities regarding his teeth and skin tone during his early acting career, and he has credited Shaukat Kaifi, mother of Shabana Azmi, for helping him overcome those challenges. Recently, Mithun’s son Namashi Chakraborty announced his Bollywood debut in the film “Bad Boy,” which also marks the debut of producer Sajid Qureshi’s daughter Amrin Qureshi. Additionally, a new musical show called “Disco Dancer – The Musical” was recently launched, with notable personalities like Suniel Shetty, Nitin Mukesh, Sunidhi Chauhan, and Anu Malik in attendance.
