In a recent interview with Sidharth Kannan, Luv Sinha opened up about the challenges his family faced during their early days and shed light on his sister Sonakshi Sinha’s rapid rise to stardom after her debut film.
Luv reminisced about the times when financial constraints put a strain on his family, especially his father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha. He vividly recalled moments when his father had to make difficult choices, such as opting between a bus fare for important meetings or saving money for meals. Luv admired his father’s determination during those tough times, as he sometimes had to walk miles on an empty stomach to achieve his dreams. There were moments when Shatrughan questioned his decision to leave Patna for Mumbai to pursue his aspirations, but he persevered through it all.
Discussing Sonakshi’s journey, Luv acknowledged that she did not face as much struggle as many aspiring actors do. She achieved stardom right after her first film, which undoubtedly helped her career take off smoothly. However, Luv emphasized that neither Shatrughan nor Sonakshi ever used their influence to get him roles in the industry. While being part of the film industry might offer certain advantages, he shared his personal experiences of facing auditions where he felt unwanted and understood that the industry doesn’t always function solely on merit.
Regarding the relationship between Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan, Luv clarified that while competition naturally arose between two exceptional actors, there was no personal animosity between them, leading to their eventual reconciliation.
Luv then spoke about his own film career and his upcoming movie “Gadar 2,” in which he stars alongside Sunny Deol, Utkarsh Gupta, and Ameesha Patel. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, is set to hit theaters on August 11, and Luv is eagerly anticipating its release.
Luv Sinha’s interview provided an intimate glimpse into his family’s struggles and Sonakshi Sinha’s fortunate entry into stardom. It highlighted the complexities of the film industry and how one’s journey can be influenced by factors beyond pure talent.
