In a surprising turn of events, Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, Dunki, has not only exceeded the monumental views of Prabhas’ Salaar but has also become the most-watched Indian movie trailer on YouTube. The saying “Sau sunar ki ek lohar ki!” translates to “One powerful blow is comparable to a hundred smaller blows,” and in this case, that powerful blow comes from Shah Rukh Khan.

As of the time of writing this article, the Dunki trailer has comfortably garnered 58 million views, swiftly dethroning Prabhas’ Salaar trailer, which held the record for three days. The trailer, a surprise release from director Rajkumar Hirani, has set new records, surpassing Salaar’s initial views and becoming the reigning champion until another blockbuster trailer emerges.
Prabhas’ Salaar trailer currently stands at 64 million views, with over 54 million views within the first 24 hours. Remarkably, Dunki achieved the same feat in just over 13 hours, showcasing its immense popularity. In addition to surpassing Salaar in views, Dunki has also outshone it in likes, amassing 1.3 million likes compared to Salaar’s 1.1 million likes. Impressively, Dunki achieved this milestone in just 13.5 hours, outpacing Salaar’s three-day total.
Dunki’s entry at the top spot in the list of the most-viewed Hindi trailers on YouTube within the first 24 hours has pushed Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi out of the top 10 list, with approximately 42.9 million views.
