The fourth instalment of the Masti franchise is set to make a comeback 20 years after its successful 2004 release. Milap Zaveri will write and direct Masti 4 for the home production of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria. The film aims to recapture the original Masti flavour, and pre-production work has already commenced. The star cast will feature Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, and Vivek Oberoi, with the leading ladies yet to be finalized.
Speaking about the film, Riteish Deshmukh emphasized the importance of appealing to diverse demographics in order to attract the audience. He mentioned that the creative approach should resonate with both the youth and women. Additionally, Riteish highlighted the significance of regional cinema, citing examples like the Kannada film ‘Kantara,’ which garnered attention due to its compelling content.

During the Jio MAMI Festival, Riteish Deshmukh shared insights into the industry’s need to have faith in its films, similar to the confidence seen in regional blockbusters like ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘RRR.’ He urged the industry to explore innovative ways and platforms to reach a wider audience and emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation at home.
While Riteish is currently involved in his home productions, Vivek Oberoi is set to appear in the OTT series ‘Indian Police Force.’ The return of Masti 4 with its original cast promises an entertaining revival of the beloved franchise.
