Yash Raj Films unveiled a sneak peek into the much-anticipated spy thriller, Tiger 3, featuring Salman Khan on the birth anniversary of legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra. The promo provides a glimpse into the third installment of the popular Tiger franchise, which started with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 and continued with Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017.
In the teaser, Salman Khan, known as ‘Tiger’, delivers a powerful message. He introduces himself as Avinash Singh Rathore, but acknowledges that he is ‘Tiger’ to his audience. After serving his country for two decades, he finds himself branded a traitor and seeks validation from his fellow countrymen. He asks India for a character certificate, which he wants to present to his son.
The teaser showcases Tiger embarking on a new mission, battling fresh adversaries. It features intense dialogues and promises high-octane action sequences. The tagline of the film is “Jab take Tiger mara nahi, tab take Tiger haara nahi”.
Tiger 3 is part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, which includes films like Pathaan, War, Tiger Zinda Hai and Ek Tha Tiger. The film will feature a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan. Directed by Maneesh Sharma of Band Baaja Baaraat fame, the film sees Katrina Kaif reprising her role as Zoya and introduces Emraan Hashmi as the new antagonist.
Salman Khan completed the shooting of Tiger 3 in Abu Dhabi in May this year. The actor expressed his excitement about the film’s release on Diwali. The first poster of the movie was released earlier this month, featuring Salman and Katrina armed and ready for action.
The Hindi film industry has seen several successful releases this year including Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Satyaprem Ki Katha. With the release of Tiger 3 on Diwali, it seems Salman Khan is set to add another blockbuster to this list.
The previous films in the franchise, Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, were major box office successes. Ek Tha Tiger collected Rs 198.78 crore while Tiger Zinda Hai earned Rs 339.16 crore.
