In a surprising turn of events, beloved actor Mithun Chakraborty found himself admitted to a Kolkata hospital on a Saturday morning, citing chest pain. Initial reports from close sources indicated discomfort, prompting swift action resulting in his current hospitalization. However, his family seeks to calm worries, categorizing it as a routine checkup.
Mithun’s elder son, Mimoh Chakraborty, assured everyone of his father’s well-being, stating confidently, “He (Mithun Chakraborty) is absolutely fine; it’s just a routine checkup.” In contrast, hospital authorities revealed that the actor underwent an MRI, and further tests are underway to fully understand his condition.
The hospital spokesperson shared, “Mithun Chakraborty was admitted this morning and is currently undergoing medical evaluation. More details will be provided later.” Currently under the care of a neuromedicine specialist, the results of the MRI are eagerly awaited.
Mithun was in Kolkata for the filming of “Shastri” when this health incident unfolded. Recognized for his recent role as a judge on the dance reality show “Dance Bangla Dance,” the seasoned actor was bestowed with the prestigious Padma Bhushan in January 2024.
Expressing his elation over his father’s well-deserved honor in an interview last month, Mimoh shared, “I’m at a loss for words to describe this feeling of euphoria and joy. Dad truly deserves this award, and I am profoundly grateful to our government and institutions for recognizing him with this prestigious accolade. My heart is filled with gratitude and joy right now.
