Ram Pothineni, a Telugu movie star, was most recently spotted in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie “The Warrior.” The actor disclosed during the film’s promotion last year that he started smoking continuously solely to fulfill a role in one of his movies.
For their parts in movies, actors who have never smoked in real life will occasionally light up to add a realistic touch. Ram Pothineni described an instance of one of these encounters and how an attempt to impersonate him led to him becoming a chain smoker.
“I shot ‘Jagadam‘ when I was 18 years old. I had to smoke a lot of cigarettes while filming. In one of his interviews, Ram Pothineni stated, “I had never smoked in my life.
He gave the following justification for his chain smoking: “My director, Sukumar, has an excellent eye for detail. He was not pleased with the manner I held the cigarettes in my hand when filming “Jagadam” As a result, I developed this habit without realizing that I was soon turning into a chain smoker.
But on the last day of Jagadam’s filming, I made it a point to stop smoking, and so did I, Ram said.
Ram Pothineni is presently anticipating the premiere of his upcoming Boyapati Srinu-starter pan-Indian movie. On October 20, the movie will be released in theaters. The first trailer and the film’s title will be released by the producers on his birthday, which is on Monday.
