The movie revolves around the life of Ana, a single mother portrayed by Genelia Deshmukh, whose world takes an unexpected turn when her curious son insists on having a father on a trial basis for 30 days! This innocent demand leads to the entry of Prajapati Dwivedi, also known as PD, a disciplined man from Ujjain, portrayed by Manav Kaul. PD’s personality clashes with the expectations of both the mother and the son. What follows is a heartwarming tale of love and friendship as they navigate the challenges of an unconventional family dynamic, eventually forming unexpected bonds.
Expressing her excitement about the film, Genelia shared, “At this stage of my career, I prioritize quality over quantity when selecting films. ‘Trial Period’ was offered to me by directors Aleya Sen and Chrome, and it explores the various relationships a woman goes through during the phase of motherhood. It delves into the story of a single mother finding love, which is different from the typical college love stories. This unique aspect of the role excited me. I am thrilled for the film to premiere on Jio Cinema, as it has a vast audience that is appropriate for this film. The ‘Trial Period’ team has poured so much love into this project, and we sincerely hope our efforts resonate with the audience.”
