Dalip Tahil, a renowned actor known for his roles in over 100 films including Baazigar and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, has been sentenced to two months in jail for a hit and run case dating back to 2018.
Dalip Tahill, under the influence of alcohol, collided his car with an autorickshaw, injuring two passengers, Jenita Gandhi and Gaurav Chugh. Despite attempting to escape the scene, he was apprehended due to a traffic jam caused by Ganesh Visarjan processions.

The court’s decision was influenced by the doctor’s report which indicated signs of alcohol consumption. Tahil had initially refused to provide blood samples for an alcohol test at the time of his arrest.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to Ms. Gandhi’s back and neck. The actor has not yet responded to his sentencing.
