In a surprising turn of events, YouTuber Elvish Yadav, who emerged victorious in the Bigg Boss OTT 2 finale over a month ago, revealed that he has yet to receive the promised cash prize of ₹25 lakh. Elvish disclosed this during a recent conversation on the show “Desi Vibes” with Shehnaaz Gill.
During the chat, Shehnaaz Gill playfully inquired about Elvish’s phone collection, to which Elvish responded that he already owned three phones. Shehnaaz jokingly asked when he would be buying his fourth phone, to which Elvish humorously replied, “I’ll buy the fourth one when the Bigg Boss makers send me ₹25 lakh.” Shehnaaz expressed shock and disapproval, stating, “This is wrong.”
Elvish Yadav’s victory in Bigg Boss OTT 2 was historic, as he became the first wild card contestant to win the show on August 14. Despite entering the competition midway, his popularity propelled him to victory as he outshone fellow YouTuber Abhishek Malhan. Apart from the cash prize, the winner was also supposed to receive a lifetime supply of free food.
Elvish shared an interesting detail about his victory, revealing that he received an astonishing 280 million votes in the final 15 minutes of the finale. According to him, a JioCinema official informed him about this remarkable vote count, stating that he had garnered 280 million votes within that short timeframe.
The second season of Bigg Boss OTT, which began in June, featured notable contestants such as Pooja Bhatt, Jad Hadid, Avinash Sachdeva, Falak Naaz, Palak Purswani, Puneet Kumar, Aaliyah Siddiqui, and Cyrus Broacha. Elvish Yadav and Aashika Bhatia joined the competition as wild card entrants, with Elvish ultimately securing the victory in a memorable fashion.
