According to media reports, actor Jacqueline Fernandez stated before Delhi’s Patiala House Court in the case of fraudster Sukesh Chandrashekhar. She accused Sukesh of destroying her career and life. The actor said that the con man played with her emotions and ‘made her life hell’.
Fernandez stated in her statement that she was introduced to Sukesh as the owner of Sun TV, and he claimed late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was his aunt. She went on to say that Chandrashekahra told her he was a huge fan and asked her to do films in South India as well. Sukesh asked the actor to collaborate and then went on to ‘ruin her career and livelihood,’ according to the actor.
Jacqueline stated that she only learned the truth about conman Sukesh after his criminal background was revealed. Pinky Irani was aware of his background, she added, but she was never told the truth.
Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi, another name in the case, gave a statement in court as a witness. Sukesh offered to fund Nora Fatehi’s career if she became her girlfriend, according to Bollywood dancer and actor Nora Fatehi. She also stated that she was given an iPhone and a Gucci bag for her participation as a judge in a dance competition at an event hosted by Sukesh’s wife, Leena Maria. She went on to say that her cousin received a call from Irani asking her to accept Sukesh’s offer.
Pinky Irani, one of the suspects in the Rs 200 crore extortion case, was also introduced to Sukesh by Delhi police, according to the sessions judge. Irani was arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Delhi police in November of last year, while Chandrashekhar is currently jailed.
