Nayanthara, one of the highly-paid female actors in the Tamil film industry, marked her Bollywood debut in 2024 with one of the year’s biggest PAN India entertainers alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Known affectionately as “Lady Thalaivi” by her fans for her illustrious movie career, Nayanthara shared her excitement about working with Shah Rukh Khan in the action-packed thriller “Jawan” in a recent interview with Hello magazine.
Expressing her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara highlighted his respect for women alongside his immense star power. She expressed confidence in the film’s impact, citing her years of industry experience.
In “Jawan,” directed by her close friend Atlee, Nayanthara portrayed the role of Narmada Rai, the head of Force One, Mumbai police’s counter-terrorism unit. Shah Rukh played a double role as both the son and the father. The movie also featured an extended cameo by Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist.
Nayanthara’s previous appearance was in the Kollywood drama “Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food.” Her upcoming projects include S Sashikanth’s sports drama “The Test” alongside R Madhavan and Trisha Krishnan, as well as “Mannangatti: Since 1960,” directed by Dude Vicky, which is currently in production and features Yogi Babu, Devadarisini Sukumaran, and Gouri Kishan in significant roles.
