The 1995 blockbuster hit “Muthu,” starring Rajinikanth, is set for a re-release in theaters this December, as announced by the film’s makers. Rajinikanth, a legendary actor with a career spanning nearly five decades, has enthralled audiences with iconic films like “Thalapathi,” “Sivaji: The Boss,” “Arunachalam,” and “Jailer.” The prospect of watching the superstar on the big screen is an exciting one for fans and cinephiles.
“Muthu,” directed by KS Ravikumar, features an ensemble cast that includes Meena, Sarath Babu, Radha Ravi, Jayabharathi, Vadivelu, and more. The film’s story revolves around a zamindar (Sarath Babu) and his worker (Rajinikanth), who both fall in love with the same woman, leading to a series of events. The film was produced by Rajam Balachander and Pushpa Kandasamy under the Kavithalayaa Productions banner, with music composed by AR Rahman and cinematography by Ashok Rajan.
On the work front, Rajinikanth will make a cameo appearance in “Lal Salaam,” directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, featuring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles.
