The tattoo, which bears his daughter Raha’s name, is a recent addition. Ranbir and his wife, Alia Bhatt, welcomed their daughter in November 2022. Earlier this year, Alia had hinted at the couple’s plans to get tattoos.
In a 2022 interview, Ranbir had expressed his interest in getting a tattoo, possibly of his future child’s name. He stated, “None yet. Hopefully soon. Maybe my (tattoo is) going to be children’s names or I don’t know.”

Ranbir, speaking about his daughter Raha, shared his fears and joys of being a father in a 2023 interview with BBC. He expressed, “Nothing matters anymore, and everything does, at the same time. I am scared to even talk about it, because it fills you up so much.”
