In a surprising departure from his usual light-hearted roles, Ranbir Kapoor takes on a fierce and intense avatar in Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s upcoming film, ‘Animal.’ The trailer showcases Kapoor’s transformation into his most brutal persona yet, where he portrays a character immersed in pain and aggression, wielding weapons like a knife, axe, and machine gun. The film revolves around a tumultuous father-son relationship set against the backdrop of intense underworld conflicts, ultimately leading the son to take up arms.
Originally scheduled for release on August 11, ‘Animal’ faced production delays, prompting a rescheduled release date of December 1. The movie boasts an ensemble cast, including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri. With a runtime of 3 hours and 21 minutes, the film has received an A certificate, indicating mature content.
‘Animal’ is poised for a wide release in the United States, spanning over 888 screens, and advance bookings are expected to commence soon. The film’s music, particularly tracks like Arjan Vailly and Hua Main, has been gaining traction in recent weeks.
Interestingly, ‘Animal’ is set to clash with Meghna Gulzar and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur,’ a film based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, and his role in the 1971 war with Pakistan.
The trailer premiere took place in Delhi, featuring the presence of Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandana, Sandeep Vanga Reddy, and Bhushan Kumar.
As the anticipation builds, ‘Animal’ promises a gripping narrative, intense performances, and a departure from Ranbir Kapoor’s conventional roles, setting the stage for a compelling cinematic experience.
