Siddharth Anand’s much-anticipated aerial action drama, “Fighter,” released its trailer on Monday, promising a thrilling masala entertainer filled with patriotic fervor. The film features Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles, supported by Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, and Talat Aziz. Set to hit theaters on January 25, coinciding with Siddharth’s previous release, “Pathaan,” the movie revolves around IAF officers.
In the Fighter trailer, Anil Kapoor forms a quick response team with top aviators, including Hrithik’s Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, and Deepika’s Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. The initial part showcases the film’s beauty, style, and exotic locations, but the focus soon shifts to the “deadliest terror attack on Indian air forces” in Pulwama, referencing both the Pulwama attack and India’s subsequent strikes in Balakot.
As the trailer unfolds, a character, likely portraying the country’s PM, talks about revenge and making the ‘dushman’ realize ‘Baap kaun hai?’ (Who’s the boss?). This evokes memories of the 2019 film “Uri: The Surgical Strike.” Nevertheless, Fighter promises a visual extravaganza with the most action unfolding in the air, offering plenty of moments to ignite patriotic sentiments.

The grand trailer launch in Mumbai saw Hrithik in attendance, while Deepika expressed her regrets for missing the event on social media. The film draws inspiration from real events, specifically the 2019 Pulwama attack and subsequent military actions, creating a storyline rich in chest-thumping moments.
Before unveiling the trailer, Fighter’s makers built anticipation with character posters, teasers, and two songs, “Sher Khul Gaye” and “Heer Aasmani.” Fans have been drawing comparisons between Hrithik’s look and that of Tom Cruise. A behind-the-scenes video released on Hrithik’s 50th birthday showcased the actor’s rigorous physical training for the film.
This collaboration marks Hrithik Roshan’s third project with Siddharth Anand, following “Bang Bang” and “War.” Siddharth, debuting as a producer under Marflix, expressed his excitement, stating, “Fighter is a dream project, and I am glad to have someone with Ajit Andhare’s vision partnering with me. With this film, we aim to elevate Indian films for action-loving global audiences seeking spectacle and the big screen experience
