Veteran actress Bhairavi Vaidya, renowned for her roles in films such as Taal and Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, has passed away at the age of 67 after a battle with cancer.
Reportedly, she breathed her last on October 8. Bhairavi had been fighting cancer for the past six months. Further details about her funeral are yet to be known.
Bhairavi Vaidya made significant contributions to both Gujarati and Hindi cinema, as well as television. She was recently seen in the TV show Nima Denzongpa, and her roles in shows like Hasratein and Mahisagar have been widely admired.
Nishi Saxena, known for her role in Anupamaa and playing Bhairavi’s granddaughter in a show, expressed her shock at the news, saying, “Bhairaviji was very close to me… I just pray wherever she is, she is happy, and may her soul rest in peace.”
Surabhi Das, who portrayed Nima Denzongpa in the show, shared her condolences, saying, “I’m saddened to hear about the demise of Bhairavi Ji… May her soul rest in peace. We had a lovely time shooting with her, and I still remember all the happy moments we shared on set.”
