Renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has ventured into the world of music by launching his own music label, aptly named Bhansali Music. The announcement was made through Bhansali Productions’ social media, revealing the distinctive logo of the newly established music label.
Expressing his deep connection with music, Bhansali shared on Instagram, “Music brings me great joy and peace. It’s an integral part of my being. I am now launching my own music label ‘Bhansali Music’.” The filmmaker aims to share the profound joy and spiritual connection that music brings to him with the global audience.

In addition to his acclaimed filmmaking career, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also been recognized for composing the music in several of his films, earning accolades such as the National Award for Best Music Direction for the soundtrack of the 2018 blockbuster Padmaavat.
Bhansali Music is set to kick off its journey with the release of the music album for the Netflix series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” marking Bhansali’s debut in the OTT space. The teaser for Heeramandi, dropped last month, promises enchanting music reminiscent of Bhansali’s previous cinematic masterpieces like Devdas (2002), Guzaarish (2010), Bajirao Mastani (2015), and Padmaavat.
“Heeramandi,” described as an epic saga of love, power, and freedom, unfolds in the opulent settings of colonial Pakistan’s largest red-light district. The Netflix series boasts a stellar cast, including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hyadri, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, and Richa Chadha in pivotal roles. Anticipation surrounds its premiere on Netflix later this year.
