On Monday morning, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar unveiled two new posters of his highly anticipated film, OMG 2. The movie serves as a sequel to the 2012 hit “Oh My God,” which starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The original film was widely loved by audiences, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel. In OMG 2, Akshay Kumar will be portraying the character of Lord Shiva, whereas in the first installment, he played Lord Krishna. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in prominent roles.
The previous posters of OMG 2 gave us a glimpse of Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva.
However, the new poster provides a closer look at his divine appearance. The poster showcases Akshay Kumar with long hair, blue paint on his neck, kohled eyes, and ash smeared across his forehead. Akshay Kumar took to social media to share this captivating poster and announced that OMG 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on August 11, 2023. He also hinted at the release of a teaser soon, building up excitement among fans. Fellow actor Tiger Shroff reacted to the poster, commenting “Paaji” along with a fire emoji, showing his appreciation for Akshay Kumar’s look.

Shortly after, Akshay Kumar unveiled the first look of Pankaj Tripathi’s character in OMG 2 Who Replaces Paresh Rawal who previously potrated the role of kanji lalji mehta . The poster portrays Pankaj Tripathi with folded hands, standing amidst a crowd of people. He is depicted in a simple attire, wearing a checkered shirt with a grey Nehru jacket. Akshay Kumar captioned the poster, “Milte hain sachchai ki raah par” (Meet us on the path of truth). Viacom18 Studios also shared Pankaj Tripathi’s poster, introducing his character as Kanti Sharan Mudgal and announcing the film’s release on August 11. They further revealed that a teaser for the film would be dropping soon.

OMG 2 has been both directed and written by Amit Rai. The film is set to clash at the box office with another highly anticipated release, “Gadar 2,” starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, which is also scheduled for August 11. Initially, OMG 2 was supposed to go head-to-head with “Animal,” featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. However, “Animal” has been postponed and will now hit theaters on December 1, avoiding the clash.
Additionally, Rajinikanth’s Tamil action film “Jailer” is set to release on August 10, a day before OMG 2 hits the screens. On the same day, Alia Bhatt’s Hollywood debut film “Heart Of Stone” is slated to premiere on Netflix. With several exciting releases lined up, movie buffs have a lot to look forward to in the coming months.
